Yin Yang
The attraction of opposing energies is a purposeful and meaningful connection. This Divine collaboration is not only designed for us to help one another in our natural human development, but this is also designed to bring balance and harmony to our own existence. This is the place where the duality of two opposites combine to become one. This is the energy of ‘Yin Yang’.
Although men and women are opposite energies in the yin yang spectrum of life, we are naturally drawn to each other in the very same way that everything positive and negative is ultimately drawn to the opposite of itself. Regardless of the obvious differences, these opposites both occupy the same space and energy equally, which means they enhance each other perfectly.
It is indeed human nature to initially feel drawn to other people who are very similar to ourselves either in physicality, personality or energetically, but the nature of opposites attracting is often much stronger than like attracting like. A relationship of ‘like kind’ is generally unsustainable to become a long term bond, especially for anyone who is on a progressive path. The comfort, safety and familiarity a relationship of this nature can offer, will actually prevent the excess learning and knowledge which is necessary and vital for us to live a balanced, healthy and growth-filled life.
The symbol for yin yang is a black and white swirl, which equally form the shape of a sphere. The black swirl represents ‘Yin’ which is the female energy, and the white swirl represents ‘Yang’ which is the energy of the male. Some people refer to this symbol as ‘Yang Yin’ but this symbol is more widely known as ‘Yin Yang’ as this is the order and law of creation from darkness to light.
The swirls of the Yin Yang symbol spinning in an outwards motion, depicts the movement of the distribution of duality throughout all creation, from the inside out. Both swirls have a single dot of the opposing energy, positioned within the largest area of the swirl. These are the dots which represent the universal rule that within dark there is always light, and vice versa.
Yin Yang reminds us that there is an aspect of negativity in both the light and the dark, just as there is an element of positivity within both energies also. This is what is meant by the phrase ‘as above, so below’ because whatever takes place in the dark, will also be mirrored in the light.
The dual polarity of the Yin Yang energies spin with the core of the earth in constant rotation. This is the very same way in which the light and dark rotates through our lives. In every decision we make, and every action we take, there is always a need to deploy their dual influence if the correct result is to be achieved.
‘What goes around, comes back around’ is a fundamental law of the universe, which is depicted in the circular imagery of Yin Yang. We experience this truth when past situations and circumstances show up in our lives more than once, and the exact same experience is played out once again.
Every situation we find ourselves in - whether positive or negative - is an opportunity for us to learn a vital lesson which will bring forth growth. When a problem that we have faced previously shows up in our lives for a second time, there are two possible reasons for this return. Either we did not learn the lesson the first time around, or this may be confirmation that we have learnt the lesson, and we are being given an opportunity to show just how much we have indeed grown.
Having a balanced life means we are able to live a peaceful life grounded in a three dimensional world, while remaining in touch with our inner world of our Soul harmoniously. Our internal vision and acknowledgement of self, should perfectly compliment our external sight and awareness of ourselves out in the light. Living our lives this way means we are successfully using our innate tools of healing in every experience we have, both internally and externally.
These are Divine tests that are set for us all. These are the moments in our life when we have the ability to either enhance our spiritual awareness and gain more confidence, strength, and understanding in our abilities, or relinquish them all.
